Women Speak

Are you thinking about starting your own business, but family, work, and plain old life responsibilities keep cropping up? It happens to all of us, but if you're truly passionate about becoming an entrepreneur you have to squeeze every day for time to work on your ideas and your dreams. The good news is you can get started without blocking out whole days or weeks.

You've only got a few minutes? Great! Use that little window of time to your advantage. Just because you can't finish a task or complete an entire project in an hour is no reason not to DO SOMETHING.

Let's say you've got 30 minutes to an hour open to work on your personal ReLaunch, but you're not sure how to use that time effectively.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

1) Do some Internet research to gather more information about a potential income stream you have in mind.

2) Tackle one item from your "to do" list today and focus all your energy and attention on getting that one thing done.

3) Read a newspaper or magazine with the eyes of an Opportunity Detective to gather inspiration for your Idea Notebook.

4) Find out about zoning ordinances for home-based businesses in your area.

5) Set up your work-at-home space, even if it's just a desk in the corner of your bedroom. Once you've designated an "office" for yourself, your ReLaunch journey becomes that much more real.

6) Exercise, stretch, take a 30-minute walk, just get up and move. You'll feel better, have more energy, and be glad you took a little time for self-care and improving your health. Good health and a higher energy level help you feel more confident too.

7) Spend the hour brainstorming all the ways you could expand on your business idea to create multiple income streams.

Pick just one item from the list and give it a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised by what you can accomplish in just 60 minutes. Small steps, taken consistently, move you toward the life you want to live.
