2 small steps on the road to becoming a Web Celeb
Isn't it funny how some people seem to attract people to join their teams as if by magic?
They have forgotten what it is to make a "cold call" or to get up at some un-Godly hour of the morning for a breakfast meeting.
Instead of hovering over their Facebook fans and LinkedIn contacts waiting to pounce on a lead they are in-undated with e-mails from people enquiring about joining them. It's like they have the World in thier hands!
So what are the two things you can do to help make this happen for you?
Firstly, you need to convince yourself that you are worthy.
We all have something that we are good at. You need to learn to accentuate your strengths and if you feel that you are not quite up to scratch on something then make the effort to improve in that area!
If you don’t believe you can add value to some-one's life, then no one will. You need to develop the idea that you are a leader, and don’t let anyone say different. You are the center of your universe, behave in that way.
When I have moments of doubt I stop and imagine that I am in the body of someone I look up to like Richard Branson and say, "How would he deal with this situation - what would Richard Branson do?"
Secondly you need to pull in the reigns and look at your actions.
The way you behave is important. You need to act as if you're being followed by a paparazzi who believes everything you do is news.
With the help of sites like Twitter, it is now possible to keep everyone updated with everything you do. If you are telling everyone what you are up to, it will act as a reminder to act responsible and set a good example.
If you live your life on the record, someone will notice you and when they do then the sky's the limit!
