- Journalist, story teller, public sector manager social care. Owner of conference centre and guest house.
- What Interests you?
- The theatre, life long love of The Bard. Food and cooking, all meals for functions at my conference centre and guest house prepared using local seasonal produce. Member of Slow Food Worcestershire, campaigning to educate people about good clean and fair food. Promoting The Taste Adventure for children in schools. As a story teller travelled to Zambia this summer with the Quentin Blake Book Bus project. I'm part of a local storytelling group and work with adults in my local hospice as well as local schools. Passionate about the use of story telling as a theraputic tool would like to train people to work in hospices nation wide. Continue to develop my journalistic skills by writing online books/word candy. Latest project "Food for Healing" a six week guide to survival post hospital. Had a morphine induced, lightbulb moment, whilst recovering in hospital after breaking my hip. My son got married last year and I couldn't find anyting borrowed or blue that I actually wanted to give the happy couple. Keen to bring some harmony and communication to the proceedings, both sets of parents are divorced, I wrote to all parties asking for a piece of treasured fabric, preferably blue, so that I could create a lavender scented heart-shaped keepsake for the bride and groom.. It now hangs with the wedding dress and inspired me to set up a company,
