- PYP seeks to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS amongst young people aged between 16-25 in Zimbabwe through behavioural change projects and to strengthen their capacity to promote sexual and reproductive health and human rights advocacy. The programme mainly focuses on awareness raising through sensitising the community especially the youths on behaviour change and peer education.
While the knowledge of HIV and AIDS is considered universal in Zimbabwe; this knowledge has not been significantly translated to practice. Research has shown that a large proportion of young people are still involved in risky sexual behaviour, their main concern being to prevent pregnancy rather than being infected with HIV. As of 2007, Zimbabwe had a population of about 11 million people, of which 25% was estimated to be living with HIV and AIDS. This programme creates and supports small, youth led projects that emphasise personal vulnerability among young people.
PYP works towards the fulfilment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in particular, Goals 3, 6 and 8. The MDGs are drawn from the actions and targets contained in the Millennium Declaration that was adopted by 189 nations during the UN Millennium Summit in September 2000 in response to the world's main development challenges.

Restoring the Dignity of African girls.
This project was set up after the founder of PYP visited Zimbabwe recently and a young woman approached her and asked for a sanitary pad which she intended to use at a wedding the next day.
